We help people accept – like – love their bodies; quit disordered eating and make nurturing self care choices.
Dear Diet Industry,
Enough is enough!
We see now that you profit from our unhappiness around food and our bodies.
We know that eating disorders cost the UK £15billion each year and that restrictive diet culture fuels many mental wellbeing issues.
Nutriri* is more than happy to be so effective at uncovering this understanding, that we hope to run out of ‘customers’ as soon as possible!
We coach mindful – conscious – intuitive eating and promote body diversity; a non-judgemental approach that meets members where they are on the ‘diet culture spectrum’!
Our members discover ways to ‘self care’ with compassion and not stigma, guilt and shame.
ALL get to ditch the chaos around food that the diet industry has suspended us in!
Lots of love,
Helen James and every member of Nutriri*
FOUNDER STORY: I started the first body stigma/disordered eating meet up whilst I was receiving Employment Support Allowance (which I later converted to New Enterprise Allowance to receive some business advice!). During that phase of health assessments and ‘fit for work’ appraisals, I met so many other people who’s esteem, body image and confidence was keeping them trapped and unable to use their own lived experience to help themselves or others. I was fortunate to get a place with the School for Social Entrepreneurs and a £4000 lottery grant, we have been founder (and trading) funded; run on volunteer power and a shoestring ever since – just imagine what we’ll do with more FUNding?!
